November 15 is the final day upon which candidates can test on the Security Solutions for Systems Engineers specialist exam (642-566 SSSE) to become certified as a Cisco Security Solutions and Design Specialist. It is being replaced in the certification track by another exam by the same name but different number (642-583 SSSE).

While there are some minor differences between the two exams (75 minutes allotted for the questions on the old, 60 for the new), the primary difference between the two exams is that 583 includes one new domain:

• Articulate the value and features of Ironport solutions
• Articulate the value and features of Scansafe solutions
